Liznjan has several inns, wine-cellars and catering establishments of other kind.
LIZNJAN, a village in the southern part of Istria,
12 km south-west of Pula, 2 km north-east of
Medulin; elevation 61 m. Chief occupati-ons are
farming and to-u-rism (horsemanship). Liz-njan is located on the regi-onal road Medulin - Sisan.
First mentioned already in AD 990. A partition limestone plate with the indigenous early Croatian ornamentation ("pleter")
from the second half of the 10th century was found there. In the Kuje Bay a limestone capital dating from the middle of
the 15th century was found, as well as an early Christian lamp with the figure of Jesus Christ - Good Shepherd, bricks
with workshop marks, and remains of the walls of an antique building.
